Bridgeport Day 2026

Bridgeport Day 2026

Chicago Humanities returns to the Bridgeport neighborhood to partner with two community anchors: the Ramova Theatre and the cultural center, Co-Prosperity. Journey through the day to experience the beauty and history of the neighborhood through a Mahogany bus tour or Brick of Chicago walking tour. Then join us for compelling discussions on adaptive reuse, art as a form of resistance, Chicago’s DIY music scene, and much more. Plus, in uplifting Fair Housing Month, MacArthur Fellows Tonika Lewis Johnson, Amanda Williams, and Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor are joined by National Public Housing Museum Executive Director Lisa Lee to explore housing justice in Chicago and beyond.
