About the Event:

Join us in conversation with letterpress printer and typographer Amos Paul Kennedy, Jr. on his trailblazing career dedicated to social justice and Black power. Internationally recognized for his bold, layered, type-driven prints, Kennedy’s work borrows words from civil rights heroes like Rosa Parks, Fannie Lou Hamer, Frederick Douglass, and Sojourner Truth, and issues fearless statements on race, capitalism, history, and politics. Hear from Kennedy on his inspiring story and his newest book, Citizen Printer, which contextualizes his breadth of work within the entwined legacies of Black printing and Black protest.

A book signing will follow this program.
