Rachel Havrelock is Associate Professor of Religious Studies and English at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her current research focuses on rethinking political and religious conflict in the Middle East in terms of access and the just distribution of resources like water and energy. She is the author of River Jordan: The Mythology of a Dividing Line and Women on the Biblical Road. An expert on the Bible, Rachel is the host of the Discovery Channel's series Who Was Jesus? and appears in the History Channel's Mysteries of the Bible. She blogs about religion and politics on the Huffington Post.
