Corporate personhood has been a hot topic since the Supreme Court ruled on "Citizens United" in 2010, but it is far from a modern invention. Henry Turner from Rutgers University argues that history is full of alternative models of corporations as social actors. What if the dilemma of our time is not that we have too many corporations in our political life, but that we have too few?
