Assyrians: The Ancient Foodies
Atorina Zomaya is on a mission to deepen awareness and understanding of contemporary culture by turning to its storied, 6,000 year-long culinary history. Through her study of the Yale Tablets—the world's oldest cookbook—Zomaya has discovered a rich and vibrant cuisine, traces of which are found in current dishes, from pickled vegetables to meat pies. Join Zomaya at CHF's Evening in Bronzeville to prepare dishes and chat with Cliff Rome, chef-proprietor of Peach's Restaurant.
This program is presented in partnership with Peach's Restaurant.
