Andrei Soldatov: Russia's Cyber Offensive
The 2016 election and its aftermath have called into fundamental question the integrity of our political system and our media. Charges of Russian interference have shone a spotlight on the variety and sophistication of Russian hacking techniques and how they leverage our increasing dependence on our interconnected digital devices. Andrei Soldatov, a Russian investigative journalist, contributor to Foreign Affairs and the coauthor of The Red Web, updated to include a new chapter about the 2016 events and the Kremlin's interference, helps us understand the complex world of Russian cyber-warfare, a world he knows as few others do.
