The Adventures of Fat Rice with Abe Conlon and Adrienne Lo
At the happening Chicago restaurant Fat Rice, chefs/owners Abraham Conlon and Adrienne Lo present their take on the fascinating food culture of Macau, the former Portuguese outpost on the Pearl River in China, where travelers from Europe, Southeast Asia, and beyond traded resources, culture, and food. In their new cookbook, The Adventures of Fat Rice, the James Beard Award finalists share their story and recipes from Po Kok Gai (a chicken curry with chouriço and olives) to Arroz Gordo (if paella and fried rice had a baby). Louisa Chu joins Conlon and Lo in conversation.
