This 3-part series explores the Great Lakes region through the lenses of science, culture, and policy. Curated by Rachel Havrelock (Professor of English and Director of the Freshwater Lab, University of Illinois at Chicago), the series brings artists, policymakers, and other distinguished thinkers together in conversation to explore important questions related to the Great Lakes, including who owns the water, how invasive species have changed our relationship to the lakes and, as climate change further impacts our region, what creative and speculative solutions might preserve the future of these waters.

Across the length of the banner runs a white line that outlines the Great Lakes, as if on a map. On the right side of the banner is a square photograph of two people paddling on still blue waters.]
