About the Event:

Join us for an intimate evening in the Salt Shed’s Three Top Lounge with author Xochitl Gonzalez as she discusses her newest novel Last Night in Brooklyn, a captivating story about a young woman whose life becomes ensnared in her glamorous neighbor’s secret past. Set in 2007 against the backdrop of a potentially life-changing presidential election and a looming once-in-a-generation fiscal crisis, Last Night in Brooklyn explores the dark compromise of the American Dream for people of color living, unknowingly, in the twilight of a cultural moment. It’s a story about everything money can buy — and the destruction of what it can’t.

A book signing will follow this event.

This event is presented in partnership with Three Top Lounge.
