About the Event:

Trailblazing social justice leader Tamika Mallory joins us for a no-holds-barred conversation on her experience as one of the leading activists of our time. From co-chairing the 2017 Women’s March to publishing her groundbreaking book State of Emergency in response to the murders of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, Mallory gives us a candid take on America at the turn of the 21st century. Her latest work, I Lived to Tell the Story, is a powerful memoir detailing her journey to becoming a Black civil rights activist and fighting against physical and political violence — and how she overcame it all despite those who wanted to silence her.

A book signing will follow this program.
