A Talk with Reginald Dwayne Betts
A reading and conversation with the award-winning poet
About the Event:
Join us for a reading and conversation with MacArthur Fellow, poet, and attorney Reginald Dwayne Betts. As the Executive Director of Freedom Reads, a first-of-its-kind organization that is working to radically transform access to literature in prison, Betts is the foremost leader in documenting how prison shapes and transforms American life. He joins us in conversation about Blackness, masculinity, and vulnerability, as well as his newest collection of poetry Doggerel, which was released on the 20th anniversary of his release from prison.
A book signing will follow this program.
