Kurt Vile and Terry Allen in Concert 07-Nov
An evening with two acclaimed songwriters
About the Event:
Join us for a rare performance with multidimensional singer-songwriter Kurt Vile and one of his biggest inspirations — conceptual artist and country songwriter Terry Allen. Vile’s self-reflective solo albums led him to indie rock stardom. After coming across Allen’s albums Juarez and Lubbock (on Everything), he became captivated by the cult-favorite country writer and artist, and they soon connected over their shared vision of going beyond the status quo with their art. You won’t want to miss this captivating night of folk with this unexpected and unparalleled musical duo, joined by Allen’s son Bukka Allen on the accordion.
This event is presented in partnership with the Old Town School of Folk Music.
