Kate McKinnon: Secrets of the Purple Pearl
About the Event:
Saturday Night Live icon Kate McKinnon returns to Chicago Humanities to discuss Secrets of the Purple Pearl, the highly anticipated sequel to her #1 New York Times bestseller The Millicent Quibb School of Etiquette for Young Ladies of Mad Science. McKinnon channels the same imaginative energy we know and love into her series for readers aged 8-12, which celebrates the misfits, the curious, and the unapologetically strange. Join us for a hilarious deep dive into the mind of one of our favorite comedians as she explores what it means to find your voice in a world that often demands conformity.
