Jen Psaki: Lessons From the Work, White House and World
About the Event:
Former White House Press Secretary and MSNBC Host Jen Psaki is known for her clarity as a communicator at the briefing room podium and now behind the desk hosting Inside with Jen Psaki. She gives Chicago Humanities an insider view of her work with diverse political personalities like Barack Obama, Rahm Emanuel and John Kerry, and her pivotal role shaping the communication strategy for the Biden administration. In her latest book, Say More: Lessons from Work, the White House, and the World, Psaki takes a journey on the campaign trail, to the State Department, and inside the White House for two Presidents. Psaki also weaves in personal stories as a mother trying to answer her young daughter’s inquiries such as, “Why do wars start?” and “Have you ever seen a unicorn?” Jen Psaki joins Chicago Humanities for a conversation on giving and receiving feedback, how to actively listen, advice on how to be a more effective communicator in any situation, and, of course, how all of this applies to the political news of the day.
