Everyday Objects: Public Housing to Prison Pipeline
About the Event:
Everyday Objects is an installation in the Humans of Life Row exhibition organized by the National Public Housing Museum in partnership with the Prison + Neighborhood Arts/Education Project (PNAP). This installation features ordinary objects from incarcerated individuals in Illinois, many of whom were also public housing residents. Described by the individuals themselves, these objects give visitors a first-hand account of their day-to-day lives through the power of storytelling with everyday objects. The labels were created during PNAP Think Tank sessions with event moderators, Lisa Lee and Raul Dorado.
