About the Event:

George Saunders, bestselling author and one of Time’s most influential people in the world, returns to Chicago Humanities to discuss his new novel, Vigil, an imaginative tour de force exploring the gravest issues of our time. From corporate greed and the toll of capitalism to the environmental perils of progress, Saunders takes us on a journey encompassing life and death, good and evil, and the ultimate question of absolution.

A book signing will follow this program.

  • Chicago Humanities is pleased to partner with Chicago’s Seminary Co-op Bookstores, the country’s first not-for-profit bookstore.
  • Tickets include a copy of Vigil, which you pick up at the event by showing the book voucher in your receipt. Student, teacher, and Humanist Circle member tickets do not include a book, but anyone can add a book to their cart when selecting their tickets.
