Francis Fukuyama: The Case for Classical Liberalism

About the Event:

Renowned political philosopher Francis Fukuyama’s examination of classical liberalism and the challenges it faces is succinct, clear, and hopeful—three things politics are often not. In Liberalism and its Discontents, Fukuyama makes legible the birth of liberalism, the juxtaposition of its ideals versus the reality in practice, and why this system of governing is worth saving. Fukuyama returns to CHF for a refreshingly accessible conversation about what we can all do to champion the principles classical liberalism is based on. He is joined in conversation by University of Chicago professor Nathan Tarcov.
