About the Event:

Renowned for her 2017 translation of The Odyssey that rendered the Homeric epic in dynamic iambic pentameter verse, Dr. Emily Wilson is a classicist and translator who brings classical literature to life for a contemporary audience. In her new translation of The Iliad, Wilson continues her recounting of Homer's exciting, beautiful and emotionally complex poetry. At Chicago Humanities, join Wilson for an afternoon of history, storytelling, and social themes that continue to resonate today.

A book signing will follow this program.
