CANCELED: Cory Doctorow and Anand Giridharadas on “Enshittification”
About the Event:
Join leading tech critic Cory Doctorow and veteran journalist Anand Giridharadas as they explore "enshittification" — the process by which digital platforms gradually get worse over time (and word of the year in the UK, US, and Australia). Hailed as “one of the Internet’s most interesting writers,” Doctorow argues that enshittification isn’t just a technical glitch, but a deliberate technique that every platform from Facebook to TikTok uses to squeeze users and businesses for profit. Like a surgeon, Doctorow sets out the symptoms, the diagnosis, and the cure to these metastasizing platforms, ensuring Enshittification will be the most talked about tech book — and word — of the year.
