CHF Book Club: Say Nothing
About the Event:
In this time of physical distancing, CHF wants to help you stay socially connected–and one of the best ways to do that is to build community through books! We’re excited to introduce a pilot of our first-ever CHF Book Club.
CHF Associates level Members and up get exclusive access to a video discussion of the book with other members, facilitated by CHF staff – register on this page, and you'll get an email with instructions to join the discussion closer to the event date.
We hope you’ll kick off the summer with CHF by sharing conversation and expanding our book-loving community!

You voted, and the book selection for June is: Say Nothing: A True Story of Murder and Memory in Northern Ireland by Patrick Radden Keefe
"Masked intruders dragged Jean McConville, a 38-year-old widow and mother of 10, from her Belfast home in 1972. In this meticulously reported book -- as finely paced as a novel -- Keefe uses McConville's murder as a prism to tell the history of the Troubles in Northern Ireland. Interviewing people on both sides of the conflict, he transforms the tragic damage and waste of the era into a searing, utterly gripping saga." — New York Times Book Review, Ten Best Books of the Year
