The philosophy behind Ari Seth Cohen’s Advanced Style is simple: Fun with fashion isn’t just a young person’s game. Initially inspired by his grandmother’s spirit, Cohen has been documenting the style and stories of the over-sixty set for years, on his acclaimed street photography website, in a documentary film, and in a series of books, including Advanced Style and Advanced Love. His work has been recognized for inspiring increased age diversity in popular culture, fashion, and advertising. Cohen will be joined by one of his muses, Judith Boyd, creator of Style Crone, as well as CHF’s Marilynn Thoma Artistic Director Alison Cuddy, for a conversation on the power of subverting expectations, and on the wisdom and style that come with age.
