Crime and Punishment

The fifth annual Chicago Humanities Festival explored the classic and contemporary concerns of Crime and Punishment from the perspectives of art, music, history, literature, anthropology, philosophy, and drama in more than 35 program and performances.

Writers and artists have produced their greatest, most powerful, controversial, and enigmatic works on crime and punishment. In fact and in fiction, it is the subject that fascinates, frightens, and captivates us.
